Step 01
Protocol Overview
“Copper peptide protocol for skin quality, collagen, and recovery.”
The GHK-Cu 50mg Pen delivers 50 mg of GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine:copper) across 300 precision clicks — one of the most extensively studied copper peptides in the research literature. GHK-Cu has a well-documented role in promoting wound healing, skin renewal, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and anti-inflammatory response. The 50 mg pen provides a complete, extended protocol for clients focused on skin quality and systemic recovery support.
Step 02
Mechanism of Action
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper tripeptide found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. It binds copper ions and acts directly on fibroblasts — increasing production of collagen, elastin, proteoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans. GHK-Cu also stimulates metalloproteases and their inhibitors, helping remove damaged proteins and improve cellular matrix function. Its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties provide additional systemic recovery support beyond skin quality alone.
Suggested Use
Daily subcutaneous administration. 1 click per session for standard protocol. Administration site and optimal cycle length confirmed through private onboarding.
Who This Protocol Is For
For clients in Bangkok and Thailand prioritising skin quality, anti-aging support, wound healing, or post-procedure recovery. Particularly suited to those who have tried topical GHK-Cu applications and wish to explore systemic administration under private protocol guidance.
Storage — Bangkok & Thailand
Refrigerate between 2–8°C. GHK-Cu is sensitive to heat and UV exposure. In Bangkok's tropical conditions, strict cold storage is required. Do not expose to direct sunlight at any stage.
Private Access Required
All Biohackr.Labs protocols are guided through private client onboarding. Dosing and administration are confirmed per client before access is granted.

What Is GHK-Cu?
Copper Peptide — Regenerative & Aesthetic
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide first identified in human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973. It is one of the most studied peptides in regenerative aesthetics, with over four decades of research spanning collagen synthesis, wound healing, anti-inflammatory action, and gene expression modulation. Plasma levels of GHK-Cu decline significantly with age — from approximately 200 ng/mL at age 20 to 80 ng/mL by age 60 — correlating with the visible and structural changes associated with skin aging.
Mechanism of Action
How It Works
GHK-Cu binds copper ions and acts as a signalling molecule that regulates over 4,000 genes — many involved in tissue remodelling, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory response. It stimulates fibroblasts (collagen-producing cells), promotes keratinocyte migration for wound closure, activates metalloproteases to remove damaged proteins, and suppresses inflammatory cytokines. Uniquely, GHK-Cu has been shown to reset the gene expression profile of aged skin cells toward patterns resembling younger cells — a genomic reprogramming effect that may explain its broad regenerative range.
Evidence Level
Human RCT data available — primarily topical, injectable research ongoing
Research Landscape
GHK-Cu has the strongest human evidence base of any peptide in the Biohackr.Labs range for its primary applications. A 2024 RCT (n=60, ages 40–65) showed 31% wrinkle reduction and 28% improved skin elasticity at 12 weeks. A 2025 meta-analysis of 7 RCTs (n=456) reported significant reductions in wrinkle depth. A 2022 RCT combining GHK-Cu with hyaluronic acid showed 25% fine line reduction at 8 weeks. Hair studies show 22% increased hair count vs 8% for minoxidil in one 2022 RCT. Subcutaneous injectable GHK-Cu research is ongoing — the injectable route bypasses the absorption limitations of topical application.
Biohacking & Community Context
GHK-Cu is a cornerstone of the longevity and biohacking community's skincare and regenerative protocols. It appears in virtually every advanced "anti-aging stack" and is often combined with BPC-157 and thymosin peptides for comprehensive recovery. The community reports consistent results for: skin texture improvement within 4–6 weeks of injectable use, accelerated wound and scar recovery, improved hair quality and density, and systemic connective tissue support. Injectable GHK-Cu is considered significantly more bioavailable than topical application by the biohacking community — bypassing the skin barrier that limits topical delivery.
Protocol Benefits
Reported Benefits & Research Findings
Collagen & Elastin Stimulation
31% wrinkle reduction and 28% improved skin elasticity confirmed in human RCT (2024). Stimulates Type I and III collagen and elastin production through fibroblast activation.
Wound Healing Acceleration
Multiple clinical studies confirm accelerated wound healing across post-procedure, surgical, and injury recovery contexts. Enhances all phases of the healing cascade.
Hair Follicle Stimulation
22% increased hair count at 16 weeks vs 8% for minoxidil in a 2022 RCT. Upregulates β-catenin — a key pathway in hair follicle cycling and growth phase prolongation.
Gene Expression Reprogramming
Influences over 4,000 genes. Shown to reset aged skin cell gene expression profiles toward younger cell patterns — a unique mechanism among aesthetic peptides.
Anti-Inflammatory Signalling
Suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines while promoting anti-inflammatory pathways. Relevant for both acute recovery and chronic low-grade systemic inflammation.

Decline in GHK-Cu plasma levels from age 20 to 60
From ~200 ng/mL to ~80 ng/mL — correlated with reduced healing capacity and visible skin aging
Pulse & Remedy 2025
Most published GHK-Cu human data uses topical formulations. Injectable GHK-Cu is expected to deliver higher bioavailability by bypassing skin barrier limitations. Cross-application of topical findings to injectable use is scientifically plausible but not yet confirmed in controlled injectable-specific human trials.
